وأشارت الشرطة المحلية في بيان اليوم الأربعاء إلى وجود جرحى إلى جانب القتلى. ويعتبر الطريق من أهم الطرق وأكثرها أهمية في أوغندا.
وتعتبر حوادث الطرق المميتة شائعة في أوغندا، حيث الطرق ضيقة في كثير من الأحيان. وعادة ما تلقي الشرطة باللوم في هذه الحوادث على السائقين المسرعين.
